Cine Institute receives grant from The Academy

"We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that Ciné Institute, Haiti’s only film school, has been awarded a grant from The Academy. Ciné Institute brings together leaders in cinema and education to train and support Haiti’s budding filmmakers. Equally focused on storytelling and technical training, Ciné Institute prepares students for all types of film industry careers.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Educational Grants Program provides support to institutions and other nonprofit organizations that help aspiring filmmakers gain the skills and knowledge they need to make theatrical motion pictures.

We eagerly look forward to the new stories and films from our students and young artists that grow because of this generous grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. On behalf of Ciné Institute, Artists Institute, and everyone at Artists for Peace and justice, Thank You!"
